KRANJ, 9.4. 2008 – Genis confirmed its leading role in managing SOA service
oriented architecture based solutions at the recent IBM forum. By presenting
its interoperability projects in Slovenian public administration it proved
its high qualification in building innovative solutions for the optimization
and automation of work procedures. For the execution of these solutions
Genis uses state of the art technologies and SOA approaches.
Service oriented architecture (SOA) enables joining various information
resources – applications and data – to new information services with
added value. By using SOA, organizations can adjust information support
to operation demands and produce innovative user services. "SOA is
one of the basic elements of information solutions and services for up-to-date
operation, developed by Genis", said Stane Štefančič, director
of Genis. "By using SOA technologies and approaches Genis has carried
out numerous interoperability projects in Slovenian public administration,
and they are also used for connecting business solutions with e-Archivist
electronic archiving system."
In the field of interoperability and
the use of SOA, Genis has, in cooperation with Slovenian public administration,
already completed the e-Births project and the pilot PanEU and IO Kindergartens
projects. e-Births is a service of electronic birth registration which
enables Slovenian maternity hospitals instant filing of a claim for the
assigning of a unique personal identification number (UPIN) and the registration
of a birth and the newborn's residence address. It connects, through SOA
services, hospital information systems with public administration back
office systems. PanEU is a project of an electronic web service for the
fast and easy obtaining of a permanent or temporary residence in the Republic
of Slovenia and Slovenian personal identificators by using a verified digital
certificate. IO-Kindergartens is an interoperability information system
project for managing reduced kindergarten payment applications. It supports
work procedures upon deciding on reduced payment and, by using SOA connection,
ensures self-service information from four different systems (Ministry
of the Interior, MoLFSA, ESS and Tax Administration of the RS).
Genis will perform a pilot project for connecting and the informatization
of central registers in EU countries together with ANUSCA Italian registrars
association.
Genis will perform a pilot project for
connecting and the informatization of central registers in EU countries
together with ANUSCA Italian registrars association. Exchange of certificates
and data between European public administrations is simplified by using
SOA concepts, which will enable European citizens simpler resolving of
civil status changes outside their home country.
