KRANJ, 12.2.2008 – During one of the main events of the European Union
presidency, eGovernment day, Slovenia was visited by the delegation of
Italian registrars association (ANUSCA). The purpose of the visit
of Italian registrars was mainly to become acquainted with the good practices
which Slovenia has gained during Population Register information support
development. This register represents, along with the Central Population
Register and Permanent Population Register, the basic back office information
system of Slovenian public administration which enables the development
of the interoperability of electronic services for citizens, companies
and pan European connections between public administrations.
"Thw ANUSCA delegation visit was very important for us since on one
hand they take care of information support development of the work of Italian
registrars and on the other hand manage the ECRN project, devoted to establishing
connections between European public administrations in order to exchange
registry data," said Stane Štefančič, director of the company Genis.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Genis are partners in the ECRN project,
to which they contribute knowledge and their experiences on the organization
and informatization of public administration processes and state-of-the-art
technologies for connecting national data resources and assuring interoperability.
These are also some of the main goals of European i2010 eGovernment Action
Plan.
The Italian delegation first visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs
today , where Internal Affairs Directorate representatives outlined more
details pf the operation of the Population Register and Central Population
Register. Then experts from Genis presented their approaches and
information architecture and their support of the Population Register.
Thework of registrars has also been presented, namely at the Piran Administrative
Unit.
