KRANJ. 7.4.2008 – As the main sponsor of the 8th Congress of European Association of Registrars, Genis has presented its technological solutions for information systems of public administrations. Within the congress contents, the company established a presentation center where its experts presented the operation of information systems for Slovenian public administration to participants of the congress, such as Population Register, Permanent Population Register, Central Population Register and interoperability projects.

The information solutions Genis has developed for Slovenian public administration received exceptional interest and enthusiasm. The second day of the congress was intended for eGovernment information solutions. Nearly 400 participants of the congress from 20 countries became acquainted with approaches and technologies used by Slovenian public administration for electronic operation.   The presented technologies has enabled Slovenian public administration to rank among the leading European administrations in the management of civil status and development of electronic services.

"Back-office information systems of Slovenian public administration are developed using leading web technologies," said Stane Štefančič, director of Genis and emphasized that Genis's systems are the basis for most of the electronic services Slovenia offers to citizens and companies. Most of the transactions at Administrative Units are conducted through these systems. Genis is introducing service oriented architecture (SOA) approaches to public administration operation, on which innovative interoperability services, such as e-Births, IO Kindergartens and PanEU, are based on.
