KRANJ, 8.1.2008 – This year Genis will perform the transfer of its
solutions for managing business contents also on the Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server 2007 (MOSS). With this move they want to enable fast implementation
of their certified solutions, such as e-Office and e-Invoices, to Microsoft
technologies users, without introducing IBM Lotus platform for group work.
At the same time improved accessibility will be enabled to small and medium
sized companies, which mainly use Microsoft software nowadays. With
this transfer Genis will ensure operation of its state-of-the-art solutions
independently of information technologies and implementation of good business
practices in all of the most popular information environments.
" This year Genis has already developed e-Invoices for the users of
Microsoft Dynamics NAV business solution. With technological transfer of
our solutions to the MOSS platform we want to ensure the best electronic
operation practices to organizations with Microsoft applicative infrastructure,
which were previously only available on the IBM Lotus platform," explained
Stane Štefančič, director of the company Genis.
With the use of Microsoft development tools and its applicative basis,
Genis intends to form an offer of information solutions that will operate
in an environment which is well known to most of the end users. Previous
solutions were based on the Lotus base for group work by IBM which operated
on servers and personal computers with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Accessibility of Genis solutions on the MOSS platform will save investments
in new technologies and personnel training to potential customers and will
enable better usage of existing investments.
"Offering information solutions on Microsoft server technologies also
enables us extension of range of potential customers, since SharePoint
Server is successfully asserting itself among Slovenian organizations of
all sizes as an efficient tool for electronic operation and managing of
business contents and work procedures", added Štefančič.
Genis plans gradual technological transfer of all its solutions for managing
business contents, such as organization (e-OrgDoc) and technical documentation
(e-TecDoc), management and monitoring board meetings (e-Meetings), electronic
clearance of received invoices (e-Accounts), incoming mail (e-Office),
electronic contracts records (e-Contracts) and electronic travel orders
(e-Travel orders).
