GenisOPA – archiving of electronic business documents in accordance with legal requirements

The Archive of the Republic of Slovenia has approved the internal
policy for the electronic archive GenisOPA services, therefore Genis ensures
the legal validity of stored e-documents according to the law.
KRANJ, 19 5th 2010 - The Archive of the Republic of Slovenia has issued
a certificate of compliance of the Regulation of the gathering and storage of
documents in digital format for the e- archiving services to Genis, the leading
manufacturer of IT solutions for e-commerce companies and public institutions,
for services which are marketed under the brand GenisOPA. With the approval of
this policy, the Archive of the Republic of Slovenia (ARS) has formally
recognized the legal validity of electronic documents scanned and stored by the
service GenisOPA. These services are intended for companies, which wish to,
without additional investments, establish a legally valid electronic commerce
and reduce the risks of using electronic business records.
For
over five years, Genus has been manufacturing information solutions for the
electronic archiving of e-business. In 2008, its offer expanded with the
external environment-friendly electronic archiving GenisOPA services. "The
confirmation of these internal policies is one of the key conditions to ensure
the legal validity of the electronic documents in electronic archives, such as
GenisOPA," explained Janko Štefančič, Technical Director of Genis. Genis has
already been offering information solutions and services for electronic
archiving, which provided the legal validity of stored e-documents;
however, until now, the users would have had to, in the case of a court
procedure prove this legal validity with revision.
In the
validation process of Genis' internal regulations, ARS compared the work and
technical procedures to the demanded standards of ZVDAGA and uniform
technological demands . The validation of the Genis' internal regulations'
compliance when exercising its GenisOPA service is a guarantee of the legal
validity of the stored documents.
Genis is one of the few
companies in Slovenia which has obtained a certificate for two basic processes
of e-archiving. These are: gathering of digital content, such as electronic
documents, digital audio and video recordings in the form of long-term storage
and long-term storage or digitized electronic content or content that are
originally in electronic form.
Companies find GenisOPA useful
especially because it enables companies to manage the expense of
e-archiving, it includes best practices of e-commerce and does not require any
new investments in technology. Moreover, it can be used independently or in
close connection with various applications, such as documentation systems,
business management information systems (ERP), information systems for working
with clients (CRM) and human resources information systems.
