Gropu calendar by Genis improves the organization of meetings and business events

Group calendar application improves overview of business events, organization of team activities and personal organization of employees.

KRANJ, 12. 3. 2009 – Company Genis, leading developer of electronic operation solutions, offered a new innovation in the teamwork area. Group calendar application is intended for central logging of business events and meetings, for instance in the marketing, sales, project work, development and production areas. It enables all employees or certain teams to have an overview of the current activities in the company, thus improving informedness and overview of operation of the entire company. One of the main advantages of the Group calendar is its connection with personal calendars of the employees since all events including individual employees are automatically entered also in their personal calendar.
"Group calendar application is an important acquisition for Slovenian companies and also beyond that, since there is only one similar product on the world market," emphasized Janko Štefančič, technical director of company Genis d.o.o.
Group calendar is intended for keeping records of attendance at various events, for instance project teams meetings, presentations, marketing actions, handover of new products, after sales activities, which are in the domain of certain teams or all employees. Events can be shown only to individual groups in the company, for instance the management, sales or development, or to all – according to organizational or safety scheme.
"All organizations, both companies and various institutions and public administration, have difficulties in coordinating activities. Group calendar increases efficiency of convening team meetings and improves general employee informedness on the activities in the organization, which is important for good working climate," also said Štefančič.
Group calendar supports the entire work procedure of informing about events and organizing attendance and in addition standard events include previously foreseen information and activities based on good practices. Upon confirmation of the new entry in the Group calendar, invitations for events are automatically e-mailed to employees in certain group or to all employees. After receiving invitation the invitee has insight into event information and various options of further actions – acceptance, refusal and response to invitation and verifying the calendar – or can start a chat with the competent person via instant messaging application. Upon responding, the invitee has the possibility to conditionally accept the invitation, suggest new time, delegate, accept with comments, decline with comments, conditionally accept with comments, suggest new time with comments and delegate with comments. Beside insight into calendar the application also enables other functionalities, such as fast daily overview and overview of events by categories.
