At DOK_SIS 2008, the main professional event in the field of documentation management, Genis presented trends and further development of operation information support based on interoperability and high performance workplaces.

KRANJSKA GORA, KRANJ, 26. 9. 2008 – At this year's professional event DOK_SIS, Genis confirmed its leading role in managing work procedures in business processes. Genis's solutions which enable the establishment of innovative information support to work procedures and management of business documentation during the entire lifecycle combine the most advanced technologies and organizational approaches.  Thus Genis, at its panel entitled "e-Solutions as services", presented high performance workplaces, interoperability information solutions based on SOA technology and integral solutions and services for managing business contents and procedures including electronic archiving. In addition to its advanced technological support the company revealed new approaches and its own good practices from the field of organization which enable optimization of processes and improve the productivity and creativity of employees.

The company has already asserted individual elements of integral platform for support of electronic work procedures in large companies and public administration. By using service oriented architecture technologies and interoperability approaches the company has constructed key back office information systems of Slovenian public administration and eGovernment services. Based on elements of high performance workplaces, Genis has established the e-Photographer service which has enabled a substantial shortening the acquisition procedure of travel documents, e.g. biometric passports and identity cards. Recently, Genis has started conducting a unique SOA project in Slovenia – merging various business applications of Mladinska knjiga into one integral business information system. With information solutions based on document systems, such as e-Invoices, e-Office, e-OrgDoc and e-TecDoc Genis has implemented electronic operation into many large Slovenian companies, such as SAVA group, Lek, NKBM, Poštna banka and many others. Lately the company has established internal organization and a technology infrastructure for conducting of electronic archiving services which is also one of the foundations for the legally complied electronic operation.
